Are You looking for some one to talk to who can help you clarify or rejuvenate your journey, contemplate your questions, tend to your dreams?
Someone who listens to your concerns and is not afraid of difficult questions but guides you kindly through your struggle?
Are you looking for someone who knows the helping and teaching professions from within and how to navigate its bliss and struggles?
Are You longing for someone to helps you to discern the next step on your journey, or to work with you through difficult questions, to structure a time of solitude, or guide you into a practice that leads you on the way?
Do you need someone who helps you examine your life, clarify your vocation, illuminate your path and find your wisdom voice within?
We both are experienced Path Finders. Our shared background in psychology, philosophy and spirituality helps us understand people from diverse backgrounds, in helping and soul care professions, in academia, ministry, and in leadership roles. We have been training in Benedictine formation and spiritual direction and share an interest in depth psychology and dream work. As a German-American couple who enjoys life as much as solitude, we are also experienced in the struggles of finding home in a busy and confusing world. Almut has worked in private practice for more than a decade, and Chuck has been mentoring students for many more years... Since you have asked, we now also offer individual consultations for our visitors here at cloisterseminars.org.

Almut Furchert, Dr. phil., Dipl. Psych.
Almut has trained in psychology, counseling, philosophy and religion at German universities and has worked in private practice in Germany for more than a decade. As an experienced soul worker, coach and mentor she helps people to examine their lives, tend to their dreams, and to understand themselves and their journey in a more profound way.
In my work I borrow from wisdom traditions, existential and dialogical philosophy, spiritual practices, and uses tools like purpose-centered dialogue, existential midwifery, active imagination, depth psychology, and dream work. My philosophy is based on tending to the whole person and my own longing for a deeper life.
If you long to understand yourself on a deeper level, to find or strengthen your wisdom voice within, and to shape your path, if you want to talk through a dream or an existential problem, your angst or grief, I would be honored to work with you,
Almut

Chuck Huff, PhD
I have been a Benedictine Oblate for more than 25 years. As a college professor I have been a mentor to students looking to reconcile their spiritual longing with their intellectual curiosity. I hope I am a gifted listener and mediator (that is what the Enneagram tells me, a tool I have just started exploring). I also have extensive experience in narrative psychology and have done life story interviews with many people.
If you are looking for some one who listens to your story, or to advise you on implementing a contemplative life style into a busy work and family life, or simply to explore how you might grow into grace, I would be happy to be your dialogue partner in a letter exchange you can keep as your own record of your struggles, questions, and growth.
Chuck would be happy to be your dialogue partner in a letter exchange you can keep as your own record of your struggles, questions, and growth.
Chuck has no openings currently.
We are looking forward working with you.
